Resilience during Covid-19 – time and self management, leading self and others

Aug 4, 2020 | Uncategorized

Hi everyone

Hope you are staying well, safe and healthy in what seems to be an ongoing Covid-19 crisis and impact.

Depending where you are, you may be experiencing some form of lockdown, curfews or the “new normal” way of living and working.

There is still much uncertainty, creating a “threat” state in our brains, as our brains like certainty to predict the future. We need to engage in proactive strategies, rituals and habits for wellbeing, resilience and peak performance (in ourselves and others).

More than ever, we need to emotionally connect with ourselves and others, despite social distancing. We also have to prioritise our self-care and relationships, personal and professional.  From the great work of the wonderful Brene Brown – be kind and compassionate to yourself and others. Have courage to get through this difficult time, manage expectations and remember that asking for support is a sign of resilience, not weakness!

However you have been impacted, hope you are continuing to grow, adapt, learn and develop, with a “growth mindset” by turning challenges into opportunities, while acknowledging reality, the situation and your emotions.

During these challenging and unique times, I continue to support my clients, teams and organisations with virtual facilitation and coaching via engaging Zoom sessions. Topics are covered to meet your needs and context – plus content such as resilience, change, emotional intelligence, neuroscience, leadership,  remote working and teams, people skills, self/time management, communication, influence, assertiveness and conflict resolution (courageous conversations).

There is so much out there – amazing podcasts, books, TED talks, blogs and articles. Below are some links to some relevant articles

Take care and be well.

Regards

Wendy
